Life's been good to me so far...
Shelley
Howard has been a prolific Chicago graphic artist for over 30
years. If you live in the Midwest, and have ever seen an ad for
a Rock Concert produced by Jam Productions, then you are familiar
with his work, because he has designed them all.

Shelley
got his start in the fashion industry, designing ads and catalogs
for Chicagos cutting edge boutiques and designers in the
early 70s. After a stint at Triad Magazine, Shelley founded
Jam Magazine with Arny Granat and Jerry Mickelson from Jam Productions.
This lead to a long term association with Jam that has lasted
over 3 decades. In Chicago, Shelley has designed print ads, posters,
and flyers for such major venues as The World Music Theatre (now
the Tweeter Center), Alpine Valley, Rosemont Horizon (now Allstate
Arena), The Chicago Theatre, Aragon Ballroom, Park West, Riviera Theatre,
Vic Theatre & Metro. His work also appears in Minneapolis,
Milwaukee, Madison, Omaha, Iowa, and most midwestern college towns.
Shelley has designed ad mats for such performers as Prince, Tom
Petty, R.E.M. as well as numerous club acts and local bands.
Throughout the 80s, Shelley produced a concept called Video
Dancestand which presented music videos for a dance-club audience.
This show appeared at such venues as Park West, Metro and Great
America and was seen by thousands every weekend. The concept was
nicknamed ShelleyVision, thus the name of the website.
He has always been a major participant in the club, concert, restaurant
and party scene, and many of the candid photos taken at these
events appear in this website.
Shelley's
hope is that this site will be a forum in which to display his
work, and a vehicle for developing new contacts. Be sure to e-mail
